Returns & Refunds Policy
At Nobbys Technologies, we are committed to providing quality products and a reliable shopping experience. If for any reason you need to return a product, this policy explains the conditions under which returns, exchanges, repairs, or refunds may be processed.
1. General
This Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of the terms and conditions of use of the Nobbys Technologies website and services. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
2. Returning a Product
To help us process your return as efficiently as possible, please ensure that:
- the product is packaged securely to protect it during transit;
- the return reference number is clearly displayed on the parcel; and
- all accessories, manuals, cables, components, and promotional items originally included with the product are returned.
Failure to comply with these requirements may delay processing or result in the return being declined.
3. Unwanted or Incorrectly Ordered Products
You may return a product that was purchased in error or is no longer wanted, provided that:
- it is unused, unopened, undamaged, and in a saleable condition;
- all original labels, stickers, and seals remain intact;
- it is returned in its original packaging, which must also be in good condition;
- all accessories and parts are included; and
- the return is requested within 30 days of delivery or collection, together with valid proof of purchase.
Products returned after 30 days will only be accepted if they are defective and qualify under this policy.
Where proof of purchase is not available, and the item was originally purchased by another person, Nobbys Technologies reserves the right to verify the transaction with the original purchaser before processing any refund or exchange.
If the original purchaser cannot be identified or does not authorise the request, we may decline the return or offer an exchange or store credit at our sole discretion.
Once the returned product has been inspected and approved, refunds are generally processed within 10 to 15 working days.
4. Exchanges
Approved returns may be exchanged for another product of equal value.
Where the replacement product is higher in price, the difference will be payable by the customer. Where the replacement product is lower in price, the difference may be issued as store credit or a voucher.
5. Handling Fees
Where a product’s packaging has been opened, damaged, or tampered with, a handling fee of up to 20% of the purchase price may apply.
6. Non-Returnable Products
Unless defective, the following products are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange:
- unsealed software;
- software subscriptions;
- digital software downloads;
- electronic vouchers;
- gift cards;
- prepaid digital cards; and
- hygiene-sensitive in-ear audio products.
For hygiene reasons, in-ear earphones, earbuds, and similar products may only be returned where a verified fault or manufacturing defect exists.
7. Compatibility
Products will not be eligible for refund or exchange on the basis of incompatibility. Customers are encouraged to confirm compatibility and specifications before placing an order.
8. Products Damaged on Delivery
If a product is delivered damaged, or if any parts or accessories are missing at the time of delivery or collection, you must notify us within 7 days.
Once the issue has been reported and approved, we will arrange collection at no cost to you. After inspection, you may choose one of the following remedies:
- repair of the product;
- replacement of the product; or
- refund of the purchase price.
9. Faulty or Defective Products
If a product is faulty, defective, or not of acceptable quality, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible after becoming aware of the issue, and no later than 6 months from the date of delivery or collection, unless an extended manufacturer warranty applies.
Once the return has been approved, we will arrange collection at no charge. Following inspection and validation of the fault, you may choose one of the following remedies:
- repair;
- replacement; or
- refund.
If the product falls outside the 6-month period and no applicable extended warranty exists, we may not be able to facilitate the return.
10. Manufacturer Warranties
Certain products may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. These warranties are governed solely by the manufacturer’s own terms and conditions.
Nobbys Technologies does not provide manufacturer warranties directly, but we may assist in facilitating communication with the manufacturer or authorised service provider where possible.
11. What Is Not Considered a Defect
The following circumstances are not regarded as defects and will not qualify for return under this policy:
- normal wear and tear;
- damage caused by negligence, misuse, abuse, or improper use;
- damage caused by power surges or electrical faults;
- corrosion or damage caused by environmental conditions;
- damage caused by inadequate care or maintenance;
- unauthorised repairs, alterations, or modifications; and
- products that are correctly described, functional, and fit for purpose, but do not meet personal preference.
12. Refund Conditions
If a defective product is returned without all accessories, components, or parts originally supplied, we reserve the right to:
- decline the return;
- replace only the returned component; or
- deduct the value of the missing items from any refund or credit due.
If a product is returned in a manner that does not comply with this policy, the customer may be liable for collection and redelivery costs.
Where a refund or exchange is requested by someone other than the original purchaser, we may require proof of identity, written authorisation, and confirmation from the original purchaser before processing the request.
13. Refund Method
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase.
- Card payments will be reversed to the original card used.
- Purchases made using a gift card will be refunded by gift card.
- In limited circumstances, and at our discretion, store credit or a voucher may be offered instead of a direct refund.
Approved refunds are generally processed within 10 to 15 working days after the returned product has been inspected and validated.
Where an EFT refund is exceptionally permitted, supporting documentation may be required, including proof of identity and proof of payment.
Nobbys Technologies shall not be liable for any banking charges, taxes, interest, or other fees that may arise in connection with the refund process.
